The cake featured today was something that when I saw, I didn’t have to think twice about whether or not I wanted to post it. I don’t know how many times that I’ve stressed that I am not a fondant fan, but for the sake of pastry arts, this cake is certainly a work of art and is certainly hard to take your eyes off. Today’s cake comes from CMNY Cakes. Oh, and how cute is that cake topper?!!!

Well, I finally did it! I finally made my brother and now sister-in-law’s wedding cake and it came out gorgeous. She was having sort of a wild flower theme at her wedding, so I bought a bunch of flowers to decorate the cake with. I also got a cute floral cake topper made to put her Play Mobil cake topper on top of. This cake was quite the challenge to make, but everybody was happy with the outcome. Here it is, 48 hours of blood, sweat and tiers!

How bright and colorful and gorgeous is this cake from Edible Delights in Maine?!! I love all of the different kinds and colors of flowers just all around the cake and on the top. And, of course, they have my favorite flowers: Gerber daisies and nice big roses!

This Saturday I am featuring a wedding and groom’s cake made by my friend, Christine Knowlton. Christine is pretty much my go to girl whenever I need advice for my baking. When I saw this cake that she made for a friend’s wedding, I was just so stricken. Truthfully, I have always admired Christine’s talent for carving and decorating cakes and, knowing Christine, she did put a great deal of effort into this. I think the flowers are my favorite, I just love the way that she did them. Not to mention, the Carolina Blue and White colors just look wonderful. And the groom’s cake, well, can you really find better carving skills than this?

This sweet sweet wedding cake from Texas Star Bakery with, you guessed it, Gerber Daisies, is just such a marvelous creation that I had to, once again, share with you yet another gerber daisy wedding cake! I love how the green stems are piped in. All around, it just doesn’t look like your average every day wedding cake.

I came across this super cool cake with pine cones as decorations from Casey’s Cakes. This cake is just gorgeous for an outdoors, woodsy themed wedding. I just love pine cones for all sorts of decorations and they especially look good on this cake! ENJOY!
